Designed to restore convenient helicopter access to the greater Miami area for corporate, private, air tour, aeromedical, government, and military flights, the heliport is centrally located on the MacArthur Causeway at the nexus of Miami, Miami Beach, and the Port of Miami.
The construction of the first four helipads is now completed.
